Sometimes, though not commonly, you come across a story that just grips you from the second that you read it, and intrigues you long after you’ve finished it. This article is going to be one of those. This was not written for the upcoming ‘Diabolical Confusions: Volume 1’ book, but rather, due to it’s original nature of spawning from the internet, it seemed a fitting place to be drafted specifically for the website. Some fans wanted some new and unique content, and at the time of writing, I couldn’t think of a better story. It fits right in here, as it contains elements of a haunting, malevolent spirits, paranormal activity, highly religious undertones, an accursed item, and lots and lots of witness verification. As a matter of fact, this story is so damned intriguing that it is the basis for Sam Raimi’s newest horror project, “The Possession”, released in August, 2012, starring Kyra Sedgwick and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. This story has been around for a while – 2004 and earlier, actually – and even I remember coming across this listing “back in the day”. Only recently did I discover that it was the inspiration for the above-referenced movie, and here is everything I know about it. (more…)

What would you say if I told you that on top of having different ranks, and on top of being from different orders, there are distinctions in Hell for those who perform exceptionally well, and go above and beyond the ‘call of duty’? Well, I don’t know what you would say, but I know that I would be pretty damned apprehensive about finding out who and what those entities have done in order to earn a spot in that ‘revered’ lineup. And if you are still unsure of what I am referring to, then maybe we should delve a little bit deeper into the Order of the Fly. (more…)

Yep. You read that title correctly. At one point in time, many people believe it was after Christ died on the crucifix but before He was resurrected and ascended into Heaven, that Jesus Christ, the son of God, waltzed right into Hell and took those there that He felt worthy with Him, and brought them right up to Heaven – right in front of Satan and his highest ranking minions.

Did that catch your attention? I hope so, because I’ve been thinking about it non-stop ever since I started reading about it over a week ago. As a matter of fact, I spent a lot of money to obtain a book which deals with the works that mention this. And unfortunately, these works are obscure. As in, they are so obscure that the Roman Catholic Church doesn’t even acknowledge them as holy works. To make that statement even better, when they were petitioned – yes, petitioned – to be brought into the fold and regarded as scripture, they were denied. This is the definition of the word apocrypha. (more…)

Editor’s Note: As we all know, explaining matters of faith to someone who doesn’t know what that is can be a bit difficult. This may apply to a child, someone who isn’t familiar with religion, or flat out just someone who never invested themselves deeply enough to learn. This article idea came up because I had recalled a brief instance in the past where myself (LVCIFER) and ANIMUS were discussing the fall of Lucifer from Heaven, and he had mentioned, fleetingly, the theft of a feather from the wings of the Archangel Michael. For some reason, months after this conversation, I approached ANIMUS and asked him to go more in depth about it, and I was presented with something infinitely better, that I thought deserved a spot on DiabolicalConfusions: a small, short little bedtime story, written for a child, explaining briefly the War in Heaven, the Fall of Lucifer, and the Creation of Demons. Now, obviously, with a little bit of modification, some fresh paint, and some quick research, I was able to adapt this to fit quite nicely here. But, before I do that, as usual, I have some “pre-reading”, or “homework”, if you will. There are some entities that are mentioned in this story, and before continuing to read, please feel free to download and scan through the PDFs I have assembled, so that you can obtain some type of idea in regards to who these entities are, and what they are capable of. They have been compiled from a short selection of books that I felt were best suited to the task, and all irrelevant information has been redacted. The list of downloadable PDF’s can be found here, divided specifically by entity, in alphabetical order:

Now, without any further distraction, please take a moment or two to learn about the War in Heaven and the Fall of Lucifer, through the eyes of a child.

Surprisingly enough, the story of Anna Ecklund is not an easy one to come by, especially since it is considered the most famous exorcism story in the United States. There are different, varying accounts to the whole thing, and very few books have been published about it. One of these books, however, is entitled Begone Satan!, and was written by Father Carl Vogl approximately 80 years ago or so. It was translated into English by Rev. Celestine Kapsner, and published in approximately 1973. The history of this “book” is that it was originally a very thick pamphlet that was distributed amongst seminaries in the United States to familiarize priests with the destructive powers of the devil through the process of possession, but in its book form, its length varies.
